Visualising the number π. The first frame shows 3 green segments filled in, these have area 3 square units and represent the first digit of π. Next is 1 brown segment which is ten times smaller than one of the 3 outside greens- i.e. it has area 0.1. The 4 inside that then have area 0.04 (3.14 so far) and as we zoom in more and more digits of π are revealed. Doing the same animation for 0.999.. would be a bit more boring but would prove 0.999..=1. What about for 0.333..?  This visualisation was suggested by Win Smith. [code]
