The scale of human spaceflight. This animation shows how far away the Moon is, comparing the amazing Apollo missions with the International Space Station, currently the entire extent of human spaceflight. The ISS is cool, but really it’s not that high up (that’s why it’s so easy to see). It’s barely in space! The thin blue line is the extent of the Mesosphere. [code]
